A Safe Place

This Christian Ministry serves all individuals in the Prescott Valley area who find themselves without housing and need help to once again become self-sustaining.
About Us

A Safe Place is a Christ-centered, Independent, Board-led organization that includes a team of individuals who minister directly to our homeless friends.  This group is comprised of individuals from various local churches and Christian organizations who have come together to serve in a God-honoring way, with love, acceptance and without judgement.

We are a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that was established in 2018 and incorporated in 2020.  Early on we were blessed with anonymous donors that allowed A Safe Place to get established with initial funding and a used van and we continue to be blessed with donations that allow us to continue to serve.  The organization is currently comprised solely of volunteers giving their time and talents.  We do, however, anticipate the need to operate with a few paid staff at such time as we have a physical place as we envision in the future (see Growing our Vision on the home page).

“It is my great privilege to help them with their survival needs, chat with them, and pray for God’s help with their present situation. God has called me to serve our homeless friends.”

Shortly after moving to AZ, God called me to serve His homeless people, and it continues to be a humbling, rewarding experience.  Each day we serve, we spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and get to see God’s impact in people’s lives.  It is through doing His work that we meet basic human needs, but to a greater degree, we bring hope.

Treasurer

“I got involved with A Safe Place when God prompted me to step out of my comfort zone to minister to the least of these.  I later joined the Board as Treasurer because I have the skills needed for this job.”

I have seen how God uses A Safe Place to bless the homeless in our community in meaningful ways.  There is a real need here that cannot be ignored.  I strive to use the gifts God has given me to help support this organization in providing care for our homeless neighbors.

I was looking for a ministry where I could help people that are in need. In working with the homeless, while you are a blessing to them, you come to realize that they are also a blessing to you.

I have a burden to help the homeless.
